Introducción

A continuación podrás consultar una serie de tablas bajo el título "Vocabulario" que te ayudarán a seguir las clases de español. Las tablas siguen la estructura de unidades del libro de texto, Gente 1. Recuerda, no es necesario entender todo el vocabulario de un texto para entenderlo bien. No es bueno buscar palabra por palabra en el diccionario.

Cuando un adjetivo o nombre aparece con una barra al final, como "chico/a", esto significa que el nombre puede ser masculino o femenino (normalmente también puede variar el número, singular-plural). Puede que no se indique la flexión de género y número.
Verbos: aparece normalmente el infinitivo, de manera que es necesario buscar el infinitivo de una forma irregular. En alguna ocasión se mostrarán las formas irregulares más frecuentes.

Find below a number of vocabulary tables under the title "Vocabulario". These tables will help you to follow the Spanish lessons and they are organized according to the unit structure of the Gente 1 textbook. However, remember, you don't need to understand the meaning of every single word in order to understand the overall message. It is not a good idea to look up every word in the dictionary as word for word translations tend not to make much sense.

When an adjective or noun appears with a slash at the end like "chico/a", it means that the noun can be masculine or feminine (usually it also varies in number, singular-plural). The gender and number may not be shown all the time.
Verbs: infinitive is the default word shown therefore you need to guess the infinitive form when looking it up. In some cases, frequent irregular forms will be shown to help your search.
