Events

The Spanish Section has organized a number of events over the years to cater to everyone’s tastes, from music to dance, from seminars to workshops. Perhaps our best known event is the annual Hispanic Month which takes place every year in March with the aim to promote the language and culture of the Hispanic world. Hispanic Month offers a wide variety of cultural events which showcase the diversity of the 21 countries in the world where Spanish is the official language. In addition to Hispanic Month, the Spanish section routinely organizes talks by representatives of Spanish-speaking countries in Hong Kong such as consuls, trade commissioners, businessmen and academics. Other types of events such as specialist workshops for teachers of Spanish in Hong Kong, musical and dancing performances are scheduled throughout the year. The photo gallery shows examples of past events hosted at The University of Hong Kong.
